Your Mid-Week Butt Kick’n – What’s Your InterFEARence?
Hello again. I may have mentioned that over time I have saved many things to blog to you about. So I am never short on material. But I still often find myself wondering Tuesday morning what to talk about. Well earlier I mentioned you have to find things around you to help you grow and improve. These things are all around you if you look! Many of you will make the comment “I don’t have time to read,” which is bull, but OK, I’ll go with it. Well one time while flying I was looking through the Sky Mall catalog and stumbled upon a great product. This company called GetAbstact will take a book and compile it down to 5 pages. Anyway, I signed up and this week I got my latest abstract in the mail.
The abstract was on a book called You Already Know How to Be Great, By Alan Fine and Rebecca Merrill. In this book they talk a about a person’s interference. They say the real obstacle to improvement is failing to implement what you already know. I found that to be so powerful. Most people think they need to take a class or read the right book to achieve success. And while you should be doing these things, it is just as important TO STOP DOING THE THINGS THAT HOLD YOU BACK. The funny thing is you know right now what these distractions are. Too much TV, drinking too much and on and on. The truth is you know what to do, but you just aren’t doing it! Now go kick some butt and, as always, start with your butt!
