Your Mid-Week Butt Kickin’ – What’s Your Punctuation?

You may have remembered from one of my earlier blogs that I mentioned that there are Tools for success all around you, that you may be missing. One of the ones we do each week in my office’s team meeting is a question of the week. We get ours from something called the “Chat Pack” from Questmarc Publishing. Some are better than others quite honestly, but I pulled one out last week and saved it for today’s blog.

The question was “What punctuation mark would best describe your personality”?

Are you a period? After you speak or do something, is that the final word.

Are you a comma? People are always waiting for what’s coming next.

Are you a question mark? People have no idea what’s going on with you.

Are you an exclamation point? The type of person that excites and motivates others.

Are you an asterisk? There has to be a side explanation for all you do.

Are you a dollar sign? People know you’re in it just for the money.

The percentage sign? People never know what effort you will give.

Now obviously the point of the exercise is to spark conversation and to have a little fun. But when looking at it yourself, it may help you analyze how you really are. And if you really want to get a lot out of it, ask what others think you are. If you aren’t having much success in your life right now it may be because you think you are a star and others see you as a semi colon. Now go kick some butt and as always, start with your butt!
